Betty's Back

The third series of hit TV show Ugly Betty begins, and to celebrate the return of our favourite fashion assistant Betty Suarez, I bring you the Topshop's dedication to all things Betty.

Although mocked for her style by her fellow Mode colleagues, we can't seem to resist Betty's quirkiness and free sprited approach to the world of fashion. With disregard for conventional style rules and clashing of patterns. Betty takes risks, and yet there is something adorably traditional about her vintage-inspired dresses and bow-bedecked blouses.

So remember to be brave when it comes to re-creating Betty's style. Make sure colours are bright and don't be affraid to mix patterns. The more clashing, the better. Garish accesories are essentiel; look for a one-off vintage bag with an unusual shape (you do want to stand out after all) And when it comes to footwear, comfort is key, small heels can be just as flattering as the 7 inchers.
