Bonjour.

So Thursday was results day and I was a little apprehensive to see my grades but turns out I had nothing to worry about. I got myself a beautiful A* in Textiles, a B in Photography and a C in English, so overall I'm happy. My hard work and many tiresome and late nights sat sewing obviously payed off. I start my Art Foundation course at Carmel in September and I'm very excited, but I really should get cracking with this Summer project I've been set.

I thought I'd share these images of the lovely and very talented Zooey Deschanel with you - they've been sitting in my 'my pictures' folder for a very long time. The photographer is Ellen Von Unwerth, she's one of my favourite photographers at the moment, always bringing out the true beauty of her subjects.

To pull of the 'opulence' trend you need to think luxury, sumptuousness and wealth and that doesn't necessarily mean spending a lot - as I have proven. Gold embroidery, dark velvet and feathers give a decadent look, and wear shades of red, blue and black. With this trend there is no limit on the amount of jewlery and accessories that should be worn. The more the better.

Marion is currently appearing alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the blockbuster, Inception. I recently went to watch it and i'm no film critic but I can tell a good peice of cinema from a bad one and Inception is bloody fantastic! Ok, I admit, it was hard to follow and I think a second viewing is in order, but the delightful cast (Leo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cillian Murphy to name but a few) will make this a whole lot easier.
