Nicholas Kirkwood and Rodarte

Nicholas Kirkwood is constantly gaining points for his innovative shoes designs and is already said to have joined the big shoe trio which includes Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo. The 28 year-old Central St. Martins graduate is known for his edgy, jagged platforms, however the heels featured in his latest collection take on a more delicate form, giving the effect of melted wax. The collaboration with the Rodarte designers, which was based heavily upon the theme of  'sleepwalking', works so beautifully because Kirkwood's heels slightly glow, as if lit, in the dark.
